Fernleaf Yellow False Foxglove - nh-sp002
Fernleaf Yellow False Foxglove
This rare native foxglove is found in certain oak-pine natural communities, often near rocky outcrops and small summits. The flowers do not have a fragrance, but the calyx - which is the only sticky part of the plant - has an interesting fragrance unlike any other New Hampshire native wildflower.
It is one of my favorite wildflowers.
